Happy Jazz Appreciation Month
In 2001, the Smithsonian Institution initiated “Jazz Appreciation Month.” The “We Always Swing”® Jazz Series is again pleased to participate with organizations across the country and around the world in this month-long celebration. From April 1–30, organizations will cumulatively produce hundreds of concerts, educational activities, screen films, curate exhibits hold masterclasses and the like to draw attention to the great American art form known as “Jazz.” The Jazz Series has scheduled a range of events — more than 20 in all — during April. Here is a glimpse at the 2017 Jazz Series “Jazz Appreciation Month” Calendar. Please note: events' times, dates, locations are subject to change. We encourage everyone to participate — and to encourage others to do likewise.
