TRUMPETER HERMON MEHARI makes his second Jazz Series appearance as a leader. The Jefferson City native, graduate of UMKC Conservatory of Music & Dance and former member of the cooperative Diverse, was a 2014 semi-finalist in the Thelonious Monk Competition and the winner of the 2015 Carmine Caruso International Trumpet Competition. Though Mehari has been living in France the past number of  years, he maintains close ties with some of his long-time Missouri and Stateside pals. Two, VIBRAPHONIST/PIANIST PETER SCHLAMB and BASSIST RICK ROSATO will join him.
