Étienne Charles Creole Christmas

During the past 15 years, native Trinidadian, TRUMPETER ÉTIENNE CHARLES, who makes his third Jazz Series appearance, has become one of jazz’s front-line global ambassadors. His blend of jazz, sounds from his homeland and other internationally leaning musical crosscurrents – along with his ability to be welcoming to audiences with his buoyant personality – makes it extremely easy to enjoy both he and his ensembles. His Creole Christmas –is a great way for anyone to ring in the holidays – especially given this group’s instrumentation. Sharing the stage are long-time collaborator associate, ALTO SAXOPHONIST GORDON GODWIN, VOCALIST ANA CARMELA, JORGE GLEM on CUATRO, part of the Latin American string instrument family, BASSIST OR BAREKET and DRUMMER SAVANNAH HARRIS.
