What happens when you take four seasoned veterans whose careers have crisscrossed and overlapped during the last two decades or more and they join forces to present a personalized and cooperative musical statement? Chances are it’s going to offer an audience a tremendously interactive-musical conversation resulting in a memorable performance.
That’s what we have here with saxophonist Joel Frahm (last appeared with Diane Schuur), guitarist Peter Bernstein (last appeared as a member of Bernstein-Goldings-Stewart Trio) , bassist Sean Smith (returns to the Jazz Series after nearly 15 years) and drummer Leon Parker (has never been a Jazz Series participant).
