A new way to conveniently and effectively put just a few of your dollars to work each month in support of having the world‘s greatest live jazz available to all in mid-Missouri.
- Easy: The Jazz Series now can accept your gifts the way you might contribute by payroll deduction or pay a monthly bill: directly – electronically and securely – and on a recurring basis. Contribute from your credit card, debit card, savings or checking account; you pick.
- Popular: Although we love gifts on an annual basis – and that option remains available – more and more people are contributing electronically, directly and securely on a monthly basis.

Your support is vital.
Ticket revenue accounts for approximately one-third of our operating, programming and educational budgets. The remaining two-thirds comes from other sources including tax-deductible contributions from people like you. Today, the Jazz Series stands as one of fewer than 10 all-jazz, independently run programs in the United States that is located in a market of 200,000 people or fewer. The James Williams Jazz Series Education Program & Scholarship Fund includes the area‘s only Jazz Scholarship Fund; an artists-in-residence program that places visiting artists in schools and at MU; and “Jazz in the Schools,” which infuses jazz-related activities into the local curriculum. Earlier this month, we brought JazzReach to town, and they had more than 900 public elementary school children enthusiastically (just ask one of their teachers!) participating in live jazz. However, such high quality programming doesn‘t come cheaply. We need you to show your support by helping us close our income-to-cost gap and asking others to do likewise.
The Jazz Series would like to thank everyone who has contributed in the past. Such generosity speaks to your support of the Jazz Series — and allows us to do what we do best: bring the finest jazz available to central Missouri.
